Free Digital Proof – Simply send over your logo, photos, and any information about your team, and our talented art department will get to work creating something special. No costs or commitments are needed. Let our artists show you what we can do you.

Unlimited Revisions – Don’t like what you see initially? Not a problem. We’ll make changes to your design until it is exactly what you want.

US-Based Artists – Our art department is stacked with talented artists with years of experience designing baseball trading pins. They know what makes a great pin at tournaments and how to get the most out of your budget. You won’t find that at other companies that outsource their art or recycle designs.

Vibrant Colors – Quality enamel paint can be the difference between a vibrant pin and a dull one. We use only the finest paints and offer 1,867 Pantone solid coated colors to ensure your pin matches your team colors to a t.

Expert Craftsmanship – Quality is at the heart of all our products and our trading pins are no exception. We work from a thick metal base, use quality materials, and have a factory that has specialized in making trading pins for over a decade. Your team has put in the hard work and deserves that same effort from your pin vendor.

Transparent Pricing – What you see is what you get. There are no hidden charges for art, molds, or shipping. And as an Oregon business, there is no sales tax

Free Priority Shipping – Your order ships free to the United States and Canada via FedEx or UPS Priority shipping. While we can’t guarantee a delivery time, most orders that ship are received in under a week.

Your Pins Are Fully Customizable

Everything about your pin can be customized to your hearts desire. We offer multiple pin types, endless color options, and different metal finishes. You can even customize the backs with your choice of colorful rubber pin backs or butterfly clutches.

We offer a complete line of pin add-ons that are sure to be the envy of other teams. Blinkers, bobbleheads,  crystals, danglers, glow-in-the-dark, glitter, puzzle pins, sliders, spinners, and more.

Custom Backstamps – A laser engraved custom backstamp allows for logos or special messages to be included. We can even number the pins in sequential order adding a “limited edition” type feel you find in popular collectibles.

Backer Cards – A great way to showcase your team even further. Add a team photo or turn them into a retro baseball card. You can even list your team sponsors, giving them an added benefit for their support.

Production Times – Most pin orders require between 2-3 weeks of production time to ship. Time may be longer for large or complex orders. However, we will be transparent with how long your pins will take so that you don’t miss your deadline.

At this time, we do not offer rush pins. We’ve found the quality is below our standards.

Some common questions about our pins.

Our minimum order is 100 pins.

Any artwork you have from your team (logo, jersey, photos) is greatly appreciated. We love vector files but can work with anything you have (jpg, png, etc). Even a hand-drawn sketch works.

For the best results, we ask you to provide our artists with as much information as you can when filling out our quote form. That includes ideas you have for the pin, links to websites and social media, or pins from other teams that you like.

Most trading pins we make are 1.5″ or larger. But this is largely dependent on your design. A simple logo can be smaller while designs that feature player names and/or numbers will require a larger pin.

If you’re not sure, don’t worry about it. Our art team has decades of experience making custom baseball pins and can provide you with size options to fit your design and budget.

While size does effect cost, it’s worth noting that smaller pins don’t trade as well at tournaments. A player may need to trade 2-3 smaller pins to receive one larger pin in return. That’s why you may be better off with a smaller quantity of large pins as opposed to a higher quantity of small pins.

Soft enamel is the most popular style of pin for baseball teams. They take a solid metal base with raised edges and fill them in with enamel paint. The pins are textured and polished, providing a high-quality look and feel.

Offset printed pins print your design directly on the metal base and then add a smooth epoxy dome for added protection. They are a great option for complex art that uses shadows or small print. Since this style requires less work to produce, they cost less and can be made a week faster than their soft enamel counterpart.

A good rule is to have at least one pin per player for each team participating in the tournament. Adding some extra for family, friends, and personal keepsakes is a good idea as well.

If your team participates in multiple tournaments a year, we recommend ordering everything at once. This allows your baseball squad to take advantage of our bulk pricing and eliminate the stress of having to re-order before each event.

That’s not a problem. We offer unlimited revisions until your pin design looks exactly how you want it.

We’ve been doing this for a long time and understand how difficult it can be for you to sign off on a design that everyone on the team approves of. So if there is anything you’d like changed or just something you’d like to see how it looks, please let our art team know.

You sure can! Just fill out our quote form and let us know what you’d like to create and we’ll get back to you within one business day.

Absolutely not! The quote you receive from us is what you’ll pay for everything shipped to your door. There are no hidden fees at Custom Comet.

Our pin factory is located in China. While we aim to make as many products as we can in the United States, metal products such as these cannot be produced at a reasonable cost here. This is true of every major trading pin company on the market.

While there are companies that will produce pins in the United States, they only offer stock shapes (circle, square, etc) and lack the same customization options. Their product is more like a button than a pin, but at a much higher cost.

Most trading pin orders require a production time of 2-3 weeks and an additional 3-5 business days for shipping. This is largely dependent on whether you choose soft enamel (3 weeks) or offset printed (2 weeks) pins.

After filling out our quote form, we will provide you with the last possible date you can order to receive your pins in time. We are fully transparent with our production times and would rather lose a sale than risk sending a team to a tournament without pins.

We highly recommend ordering at the earliest possible date to avoid any issues that may arise from shipping or other unforeseen circumstances.

We do not offer a rush option at this time. Our pins require ample production time to avoid manufacturing errors and provide you with the highest quality product.

Our offices are located at Watershed PDX in Portland, Oregon.
